What Sets a Careful Practice
Apart from the Rest
Not every legal practice approaches inheritance matters with the same patience or precision. Here is what we offer that is worth considering.
Back to HomeSix Qualities That Shape Our Practice
Focused Legal Expertise
Our solicitors work exclusively in inheritance and estate law. This focused practice means accumulated knowledge that a general firm cannot sustain in the same area.
- Thorough knowledge of Thai succession law
- Experience with cross-border estate matters
- Familiarity with Bangkok civil court procedures
A Structured, Unhurried Process
Each matter follows a clear sequence. Clients know what step is current and what follows next, without needing to ask. No loose ends and no unexplained delays.
- Clear stages explained from the outset
- Regular updates without prompting
- Timeline set at a pace that suits the client
A Considerate Approach
Estate and inheritance matters often arise during times of personal difficulty. We adapt our manner accordingly — taking the time each person needs, without commercial pressure.
- No pressure or urgency language
- Sensitivity to family circumstances
- Respectful communication at all times
Transparent, Stated Pricing
Fees for each service are stated clearly before any work begins. Clients are not presented with open-ended billing. Where scope changes, we discuss it before proceeding.
- Fixed fees for defined services
- No hidden charges or surprise additions
- Scope changes discussed and agreed first
Documentation Done Properly
Thai inheritance proceedings require accurate, correctly formatted documents. Errors slow or invalidate processes. Our review steps exist to catch problems before they become complications.
- Dual review on all filings
- Correct formatting for Thai court standards
- Copies retained and organised for your records
Plain Communication
Legal language can obscure as much as it clarifies. We explain each step in plain English so that clients understand what is being done and why — before they need to ask.
- Technical terms explained when used
- Written summaries after each key stage
- Questions welcomed at any point
A Practice Shaped by Years in Inheritance Law
When legal work stays focused on a defined area, the practitioner develops a familiarity with its specific requirements, its procedural nuances, and its common difficulties — that broader experience simply does not replicate. At Damrong Law, inheritance and estate matters are not a department within a larger practice. They are the whole of what we do.
This focus gives us a detailed working knowledge of Thai succession law, including how it applies to foreign nationals, how it interacts with property held in different structures, and how contested matters tend to unfold before the civil courts.

A Service That Adapts to Your Circumstances
Every client arrives in a different situation. Some are planning a will well in advance; others are managing the immediate aftermath of a bereavement. Some have straightforward affairs; others face complex family circumstances. We adapt accordingly — the same thoroughness in each case, at the pace the situation requires.
Enquiries are answered promptly and honestly. Where a matter falls outside our scope, we say so clearly rather than taking it on inadequately.
Response Within One Working Day
All written enquiries acknowledged promptly and answered with care
Service Tailored to the Matter
Scope and pace adjusted to what each client's situation actually requires
Professional Discretion
All information held in strict confidence; nothing shared without authority
Pricing That Is Stated, Not Negotiated
We publish fees for our three core services because we believe clients should know the cost of what they are considering before they commit to anything. A will preparation consultation is ฿1,900. Estate administration is ฿6,400. Inheritance dispute representation is ฿9,700. These are the starting figures, and any variation is discussed before it is incurred.
There is no initial consultation fee. An enquiry by email or phone is welcome and carries no commitment.
All fees stated before work commences. No open-ended billing.

What We Offer That Is Not Easily Found Elsewhere
Assistance for Foreign Nationals in Thailand
Many international residents find Thai inheritance procedures opaque. We are familiar with the specific complications that arise when assets, families, and legal systems cross borders.
Gentle Handling of Sensitive Matters
We recognise that an inheritance dispute or an estate administration following a loss is never simply a legal exercise. The human side of each matter is always kept in view.
Full Documentation Management
From initial drafting through to final filing, we manage the documentation associated with your matter — reducing the burden on clients during a demanding period.
No-Commitment Initial Enquiry
Speaking with us for the first time carries no obligation. We answer initial questions honestly and let clients take the next step — or not — in their own time.
